Wall Street

I am a retailer for you to consume

You spent 0.3% on me in January

But you continue to close 117 stores

And cut 180 jobs.

Don’t eliminate consumer spending

For your fiscal moves may not stave off a recession.

Your sales are flat.

And you’re being very cautious.

“You look much less impressive,”

You said.

I look reasonable good

So even economists were puzzled

By your revised drop of interest in me.

The Federal Reserve

Congress

And White House

Are even focused on stimulating

Our economy.

Let’s remain items

I used only words from a Wall Street article to create this poem. It was a fun exercise and anyone can try it!
